In chapter XXVI in ‘The Prince’: ‘Exhortation to deliver Italy from foreign barbarians’ Machiavelli a.o. states that time has never been better for Italy to recover its strength and ancient fame and therefore O magnificent Lorenzo must not let this opportunity pass. He has the leadership abilities, people, discipline and experience to make the proper organisational changes and prevail.
To what extent do Machiavelli’s thoughts apply to the roles and responsibilities of modern leaders from different countries, cultures and trades? Is it the same criteria that constitutes/makes the basis for a comeback or a turnaround?
